Montreal-native E.SteriA was born making music, singing before she could even sit up straight. Coming from an entire family of musicians, she was blessed with the opportunity at extensive classical music training in voice, piano, and violin. Surprisingly, she only discovered house music in her early twenties, falling quickly in love with the raw, tribal energy of Montreal beats on the dancefloors of afterhours Stereo and Circus. She touched her first CDJ-100 in 2009, and hasn't been able to take her hands off jog-wheels ever since. E.SteriA made her energetic debut at Salon Pearl's NYE 2010 event, let her flair for the dramatic mark the local scene, and she has been spinning regularly since.
Most influenced by local and Toronto artists, E.SteriA mixes a combination of minimal, tech house and techno: ranging from light, funky and playful to shamelessly dark and dirty. She loves to combine fresh, urban, electronic sound with eclectic, grungy and international sounds. In the short time since her emergence in the electronic music scene, E.SteriA enjoys playing regularly at Salon Pearl and the Circus Afterhours' Gallery room with some of Montreal's finest talent. She is known for her consistent enthusiasm about exploring new venues, taking risks, and further refining her unique sound and energy. More than anything, E.SteriA is extraordinarily passionate about music, learning music production, and being part of the developing Montreal scene.
